Grand Canyon Inn is a family-run hospitality company with a long history in Northern Arizona spanning three generations.  It all started in the early 1950s when a large hard-working family from Canada moved to Arizona to pursue the American Dream.  They built the first Grand Canyon Inn and restaurant as well as a service station in a small town between Red Lake and the Grand Canyon.

In the late 1970s the family built the current Grand Canyon Inn in Valle, Arizona, and in 1977 built the first phase of the Grand Canyon Inn and restaurant as it exists today.  In 1981 the motel expanded across the street with the A & B wing with 33 rooms.  Expansions continued with two new wings and 40 more rooms as well as a swimming pool added in the mid-1990s.  Today the Grand Canyon Inn has 101 rooms.

Always looking to expand, William and Lorraine opened a gas station in the area as well, which has grown into the Valle Travel Stop, the most complete service station in the area offering two gift shops and a convenience store as well as diesel, and bus & RV services.  Both businesses are now being operated by their children, the third Grand Canyon Inn family generation.
